Since graduation she has worked in many areas of orthoptics and ophthalmology in both the private and public sphere.
Liane was a lecturer in the School of Orthoptics for seven years and continues to lecture in a casual capacity for the University of Technology, Sydney. Liane completed further studies receiving a research Masters degree in 2002 for her work in school vision screening.
In 2001 Liane commenced a private orthoptic practice in Castle Hill, which was expanded in 2012 to include a practice in Pennant Hills. Both practices specialises in the treatment of eye movement conditions and strabismus (turned eye) in both paediatric and adult patients.
